| Obverse description | Crowned shield of Burgundy occupies the central field, displaying the quartered arms of Burgundy ancient and modern within a decorative border. The shield is surmounted by a helmet with mantling visible to either side. A beaded inner circle frames the design, with the Latin legend running along the outer periphery in uncial characters. The overall composition is typical of the low-denomination billon coinage of the Burgundian Netherlands, struck with characteristic irregularity of a hammered flan. |
