Reverse description A bold cross pattee extends to the inner circle, dividing the field into four equal quadrants. On certain issues (VGF#190), the letters G, A, n, D appear individually in the four angles of the cross, identifying the Ghent mint; on earlier issues (VGF#192) the quadrants are plain. The surrounding circular legend is separated from the central design by a beaded inner circle, consistent with standard Flemish mite coinage of the mid-14th century.
