Reverse description A stylised tower, the civic emblem of Sassari (ancient Turris Libisonis or Turritana), depicted in the central field in low relief. The tower motif references the city's heraldic identity and its Latin designation as Civitas Turitana. A circular Latin legend surrounds the device along the coin's periphery. The flan is irregular and the strike uneven, consistent with hammered copper minuti of this period.
