These miniature novelty reproductions have no legal tender status and were never issued by the Federal Reserve or the United States Treasury. They circulate in the collectibles and gift market — produced by private manufacturers, sometimes as promotional items, sometimes sold in bulk as novelty currency sets. The Treasury connection in the name is purely decorative.
