| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central device consisting of a patriarchal cross on three steps, with globus terminals at the extremities of each arm and at the top of the shaft, set upon a stepped base (three-tiered) rising from a globe at the bottom of the field. The cross is depicted in a bold, stylized Byzantine manner. A circular legend in Greek characters surrounds the central device, reading the Christogram invocation. The entire design is enclosed within a double border of dots forming a crisp inner and outer ring. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse bears a five-line Greek inscription occupying the entire field, arranged in horizontal lines, proclaiming the names and titles of the co-ruling emperors Leo VI and Constantine VII as God-crowned basileis of the Romans. The text is rendered in characteristic Byzantine uncial lettering with generous, well-spaced characters. The legend is enclosed within a triple border of beaded rings, with small pellets positioned at the cardinal points between the inner borders, consistent with the refined workshop production of the Constantinople mint. |
