Obverse description Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Justinian I facing right, rendered in the late antique imperial tradition. The diadem is elaborately detailed with pearl beading, and the paludamentum is fastened at the shoulder with a fibula. The cuirass is visible beneath the draped cloak, conveying martial authority. The imperial effigy occupies the full height of the flan, with fine engraving capturing the facial features in profile. The encircling legend is incised in clear Latin capitals along the obverse periphery.
