Encircling the central motif is a Hebrew paleo-script legend reading 'Year one of the redemption of Israel,' distributed around the full circumference of the coin. The flan is irregular and the strike uneven, consistent with the emergency coinage character of this series produced during the revolt of 132–135 CE. |
