Občianske Združenie Zberateľov Gabrišoviek — the Collectors' Association of Gábrišovky — issues these annual membership notes as a private numismatic society piece, a tradition rooted in the Slovak notgeld and novelty collecting community. The "Gábrišovka" itself is a self-referential invention: a collectible pseudo-banknote whose issuing body exists primarily to produce and exchange it. Matej Gábriš serves as both designer and the eponymous subject, which is either charmingly absurd or entirely logical depending on your patience for collector in-jokes.
The watermark is a notable touch for a piece at this scale — most private issue fantasy notes skip it entirely.
