| Obverse description | Central relief depicts the Völkerschlachtdenkmal (Monument to the Battle of the Nations) in Leipzig, shown in full elevation with its characteristic tiered base and domed rotunda. An oval cartouche bearing the Meissen crossed-swords mark appears at the base of the monument. The surrounding legend runs along the inner rim, and a gilt band decorates the outer edge of the medallion. |
