Obverse description Central field occupied by a two-line Arabic legend executed in characteristic Ottoman hammered style, reading the royal titulature of Sultan Ibrahim I. The script is rendered in bold relief against a flat, unadorned field, with the irregular flan typical of hand-struck Ottoman silver coinage of the mid-seventeenth century. No border or decorative elements frame the inscription.
