The circular legend OFFICIALLY LICENSED BY THE NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE® runs along the upper rim. Below the trophy, a horizontal rule separates the central device from inscriptions listing 13 STANLEY CUP® CHAMPIONSHIPS® and the thirteen championship years. A numbered plaque in the lower field reads 1553, accompanied by the HM mintmark and the ©NHL copyright notice.
