| 裏面の説明 | The reverse presents a multi-register narrative composition in relief. In the upper register, the central figure of Prince Leszek the White stands holding a pennant, flanked on the left by Bishop Pełka in mitre and crozier and on the right by a helmeted knight-voivode; Latin inscriptions identify each figure and reference key historical events including the crusades against Prussia (MCCCXXII) and the victory over the Ruthenians at Zawichost (A.D. MCCV). A horizontal dividing line bears the legend CONVENTUS GANSZAVIENSIS referencing the assembly at Gąsawa. In the lower register, a nude rider on horseback—symbolising the flight and assassination of Leszek the White—is depicted with an arrow in his back, accompanied by the inscription LESTCO OCCISUS (1227). |
