| Obverse description | A large relief reproduction of a medieval bracteate of Casimir II the Just occupies the central field, depicting a crowned frontal bust of the prince within a circular border bearing the legend DVX CAZIM. Above the bracteate, the name CAZIMIRVS II appears in the field; below, the Roman numeral dates MCLXXVII and MCXCIIII denote his reign of 1177–1194. The whole is enclosed by a beaded border. |
