Reverse description A standing allegorical female figure in classical attire and helmet, holding a spear entwined with orange branches bearing fruit in her left hand, while her right hand rests upon a crowned shield bearing the Nassau arms. The arc legend PRO ARIS ET FOCIS and IECTI appear in the upper field, with the inscription PROCL . GVBERN . / 3 . MAII . 1747 in the exergue, commemorating the proclamation of William IV as Hereditary Stadtholder on 3 May 1747. The engraver's initials V.S. appear in the lower right field.
