Reverse description A couchant British lion faces right, resting upon a shield bearing the inscription REFORM BILLS, with a fasces to the left, a Phrygian cap of Liberty surmounting a pole rising centrally, and a cornucopia to the right, all set against radiating sunrays filling the field. Broken chains lie beneath the lion. A rectangular exergue below contains the concluding legend in two lines.
