Obverse description Conjoined busts of King Haakon VII and Queen Maud facing forward in relief, the King on the left in civilian dress and the Queen on the right with an elaborate coiffure. The legend arcs around the upper rim, with the engraver's name inscribed in small lettering at the lower right of the field.

Reverse description A royal crown in high relief dominates the upper field, beneath which the three-line welcome inscription is prominently displayed. In the lower portion, the Norwegian coat of arms — a crowned lion rampant holding a halberd on a vertically striped shield — is flanked by two pairs of crossed Norwegian royal flags in relief.
