Obverse description High-relief bust of Joseph Chamberlain facing right, depicted in three-quarter profile wearing a suit with his characteristic monocle. The name legend JOSEPH CHAMBERLAIN curves around the field to left and right respectively, with the engraver's signature J.A. RESTALL visible in the lower exergue.

Reverse description Elaborate allegorical composition featuring Britannia standing to the left, helmeted and holding a trident, with a lion and Union shield behind her; Justice stands to the right holding a sword and scales. Between them, a central oval cartouche bears the commemorative inscription on a scrolled banner. Clasped hands surmount a laurel wreath at the top of the design, while at the base a heraldic coat of arms with supporters and the motto SPES BONA appears, flanked by date banners reading DEC. 26. 1902 and FEB. 25. 1903.
