Obverse description The obverse serves as an advertisement die for the Christlbauer striking establishment, featuring the firm name JOSEF CHRISTLBAUER and address WIEN VII. NEUBAUG. 23 in bold relief lettering at the centre of the field. A circular legend reading PRÄGEANSTALT FÜR ALLE METALLE VERTIEFT U. ERHABEN surrounds the central text, separated by a decorative dotted border ring. Part of the legend at the bottom appears inverted, a deliberate feature of the die-maker's demonstration piece.
