Reverse description The upper half of the reverse depicts a detailed exterior view of the Crystal Palace in Hyde Park, flanked by trees and figures in the foreground, with the inscription DESIGNED BY J PAXTON ESQ and ERECTED BY FOX HENDERSON & CO along the base of the building. A multi-line statistical legend arching above records the building's dimensions and opening date.
