| Obverse description | Veiled and crowned bust of Queen Victoria facing left in high relief, wearing a laurel wreath, jewelled crown, and elaborate robes. The inscription 'VICTORIA / QUEEN AND EMPRESS' frames the effigy along the border, with the commemorative legend 'TO COMMEMORATE THE 60TH YEAR OF HER MAJESTY'S REIGN' split across the field on either side of the bust.
