Reverse description A partially draped female allegorical figure kneeling and facing left, her upper body bare, lighting or tending an ornate oil lamp atop a decorative columnar pedestal entwined with serpents and bearing a relief figure at its base; a jug stands at the foot of the column. A Latin legend surrounds the upper field, with a two-line inscription and the Roman numeral date MDCCCXLI in the lower exergue. The engraver's signature W. WYON. R.A. appears in the lower field.
