| Beschrijving voorzijde | High-relief bust of Theodore Roosevelt in left-facing profile, wearing a suit and tie, with no legend in the field. The portrait is rendered in a bold, sculptural style consistent with Barber's medallic work, filling the majority of the flan within a recessed border. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse features a central five-pointed star overlaid with a scroll bearing an engraved inscription. At upper center, a heraldic American eagle with spread wings is flanked by allegorical female figures; the left figure bears a laurel branch and the right holds a torch. At lower left is a bust of Christopher Columbus, and at lower right a crowned female bust representing Queen Isabella. The legend arcing across the top identifies Charles E. Barber as Sixth Chief Engraver of the U.S. Mint with his birth and death years in Roman numerals. Stars border the perimeter, and the denomination ONE STELLA appears at the base of the star. The reverse is signed by the designers B. Nonnhof and R. Schabel on the left and right edges respectively. |
