Reverse description Full-field relief depicting the Bath Gorgon, a frontal male Gorgon head with staring eyes, prominent moustache, and wild flowing hair and beard radiating outward to fill the entire field in deeply incised swirling lines. The design is adapted from the iconic carved stone pediment of the Temple of Sulis Minerva, preserved in the Roman Baths Museum. No legend is present.
