| Obverse description | A standing allegorical female figure draped in antique-style robes faces slightly right, holding in her left hand a shallow cup or patera from which a serpent drinks, while her right hand grasps a tall staff or spear whose tip is thrust into the open mouth of a vanquished dragon at her feet. The engraver's signature OUDINÉ appears in the lower left field. A beaded border frames the design, with the circular legend running along the upper periphery and the society name and foundation date inscribed on a baseline in the lower field. |
