Reverse description The reverse displays an open laurel wreath framing the central field, within which the legend MINNESOTA appears in bold relief above the inscription ATTAINED STATEHOOD / MAY 11, 1858. A circular medallion at the top encloses a depiction of the Lady's Slipper, Minnesota's state flower, surrounded by a ring of stars and the legend MINNESOTA / LADY'S SLIPPER. A ribbon cartouche at the base bears the designation 32ND STATE, all within a beaded border.
