Reverse description The reverse displays the state name MINNESOTA in large raised letters across the central field, above the inscription ATTAINED STATEHOOD / MAY 11, 1858, and a scroll cartouche below reading 32ND STATE. A wreath of laurel branches frames the central field on either side. At the top of the field, a circular medallion depicts the state flower, the Lady's Slipper, surrounded by stars and the legend MINNESOTA / LADY'S SLIPPER. The Franklin Mint mark (FM) appears at the base below the scroll.
