Reverse description The reverse displays the legend KENTUCKY prominently in the central field, flanked by two laurel branches in high relief. Above, a circular medallion depicts the state flower, the goldenrod, surrounded by stars and the legend KENTUCKY GOLDENROD. Below the central inscription, ATTAINED STATEHOOD JUNE 1, 1792 appears in the field, with 15TH STATE on a scroll at the base, all within a beaded border. The Franklin Mint mintmark (FM) appears at the bottom of the field.
