| Obverse description | Bare-headed bust of Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles in right profile, set within a rope border. The inner legend reads SIR T. STAMFORD RAFFLES. FOUNDER around the bust, while the outer legend THE CENTENARY OF SINGAPORE runs along the wide flat rim. The maker's signature SPINK. FECIT. appears in small letters below the bust. A small floral ornament is visible at the bottom of the rim, and a suspension hole is pierced at the top. |
