| Obverse description | The Reuleaux-triangular field is divided into three segments, each depicting a distinct group of Mexican landmarks in high relief. The upper-left panel features Atlantean warrior figures associated with Toltec sites; the lower panel shows a stepped Mesoamerican pyramid (Chichén Itzá or Teotihuacan); and the upper-right panel depicts modern Mexico City architecture including curved and geometric structures.
