The shield is supported by a miner with a shovel at left and a sailor holding a sextant at right, with a plow and ship anchor at the base. A ribbon banner below the shield displays the city motto in two lines. The circular legend encircles the entire design, with a small mintmark S visible at the top of the inner field. |
