| Obverse description | The obverse is divided into three segments representing three eras of the Saint Petersburg Mint. In the lower-left segment, a bust of Peter I appears in relief against the Peter and Paul Fortress spire, with the mintmark С.П.Б. In the lower-right segment, the figure of the Sower from the Soviet gold chervonets is depicted against the Leningrad Mint building and the ЛМД mintmark. In the upper segment, the equestrian figure of St. George the Victorious is shown against the facade of the modern mint building with the СПМД mintmark. The numeral 300 appears prominently in the center field, with circular legends identifying each era of the mint. |
