Aversbeschreibung The obverse of the token reflects the theme of the 350th anniversary of the birth of Peter I - the first emperor of Russia, the founder of the Russian fleet, the winner of the Northern War, the founder of St. Petersburg and the Mint, where, as Peter the Great commanded, `gold coins are made in St. Petersburg.` Under Peter I, the tradition of firing a cannon shot in the Peter and Paul Fortress was born.

Reversbeschreibung The reverse of the medal is dedicated to history, traditions and the movement of time, which is emphasized by the image of the dial on a mirror background. In the center of the reverse side of the token is a modern gun from which the traditional midday shot is fired. The relief image of the cannon is framed by a panoramic background of the city and the Peter and Paul Cathedral, located in the fortress, made using laser tool processing technology.
