Obverse description The brass center depicts Peter the Great's historic boat (1688) under full sail on stylized waves, with figures aboard and a Russian Orthodox church visible in the background; a double-headed eagle flag flies from the masthead. The Cyrillic legend arcs along the upper border of the dark copper-nickel ring, with the English equivalent along the lower border. Decorative rope-knot motifs appear at the left and right sides of the ring.
