| Obverse description | Bust of the Prince of Wales in military uniform and peaked cap facing three-quarters left, set within a shield-shaped cartouche in the center of the field. Two crossed flags flank the bust — the Union Jack to the left and the Welsh dragon flag to the right. Above, the Prince of Wales feathers badge with coronet and the motto scroll inscribed ICH DIEN appear in high relief. A laurel wreath decorates the lower border, and a commemorative legend curves around the lower portion of the oval field. |
