Obverse description Two crowned lions rampant facing each other, their forepaws resting on a central classical column decorated with a rose, shamrock, and architectural motifs, surmounted by an urn and cross finial, set against a ashlar masonry background. The circular legend runs around the border, with dates and incorporation details in the lower exergue area, and an engraver's signature visible at lower left.

Reverse description A robed female figure wearing a mural crown, seated and leaning forward over a drafting table, examining or drawing architectural plans; behind her, an Ionic capital and classical architectural elements are visible in the background, with a detailed plan of Westminster Abbey depicted in the lower right of the field. The engraver's signature 'Geo. Frampton 1906' appears in the right field. The Latin legend is distributed around the border, separated by floral rosette ornaments.
