Obverse description High-relief facing bust of Jean Moulin wearing a wide-brimmed hat, set within a beaded border. To the lower left, his name appears in cursive script; to the upper left, the legend arcs in stylized lettering. At the lower right, a circular medallion displays the Cross of Lorraine, symbol of the French Resistance, inscribed with the Roman numeral date XVIII.VI.MCMXL. The engraver's signature J.MAUVIEL appears in the lower exergue.
