| Obverse description | The obverse depicts in high relief the two sides of the 1980 USSR trial ruble commemorating the 600th anniversary of the Battle of Kulikovo. The obverse of the referenced coin shows the Soviet state emblem with the legend «СС 1 РУБЛЬ», while the reverse displays two mounted warriors in combat with the legend «ШЕСТЬСОТ ЛЕТ КУЛИКОВСКОЙ БИТВЫ» and dates «1380–1980» in the exergue. The legend «ПРОБНЫЙ РУБЛЬ» arcs along the upper rim and the date «1980» appears at the bottom of the medal's field. |
