Description du revers A view of the Appian way, a very important and old strategic road built by the Romans, and its monuments, including the Basilica of San Sebastiano and its catacombs to the right, which is the final resting place of the saint. To the left the tomb of Caecilia Metella is depicted. In the centre St Sebastian lying down with pierced arrows.
