| Obverse description | The central field features a relief of Marshal Zhukov on horseback before the Kremlin towers, evoking his command of the Victory Parade of June 24, 1945. At the top, a portrait bust of Zhukov in uniform is set within a decorative cartouche, flanked by the legends ВЕЛИКАЯ ОТЕЧЕСТВЕННАЯ ВОЙНА and ПОБЕДА 1945. Four medallion portraits of celebrated Russian military commanders — identified as Dmitry Donskoy, Alexander Nevsky, Alexander Suvorov, and Mikhail Kutuzov — are arranged in the corners of the design. |
