| Obverse description | The obverse features a bust effigy of Alexander Suvorov in the upper center within a shaped cartouche, flanked by the Cyrillic legend АЛЕКСАНДР СУВОРОВ along the upper rim. The main field depicts a dynamic battle scene of the storming of the fortress of Izmail, with a mounted cavalry figure charging to the right and troops assaulting the fortification to the left. In the lower exergue, two crossed cannons are rendered in relief within decorative panel corners, and the inscription ШТУРМ ИЗМАИЛА 1790 РУССКО-ТУРЕЦКАЯ ВОЙНА appears in the lower left field. |
