Reverse description Detailed bird's-eye panoramic view of the Suez Canal corridor connecting the Mediterranean Sea (MER MÉDITERRANÉE) in the upper field to the Red Sea (MER ROUGE) in the lower field, with ships visible on both bodies of water and the canal cutting through the terrain. The engraver's signature and mint city appear in the lower exergue, with the inauguration date inscribed along the bottom rim.
