| Obverse description | The obverse displays the coat of arms of the Sovereign Grand Lodge of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows, flanked by two allegorical female figures in high relief. An all-seeing eye radiates rays from above the shield, and a ribbon beneath the arms bears the motto 'AMICITIA AMOR ET VERITAS'. The circular legend reads 'BURY THE DEAD AND EDUCATE THE ORPHAN · WE COMMAND YOU TO VISIT THE SICK, RELIEVE THE DISTRESSED', with the inscription 'THE SOVEREIGN GRAND LODGE OF THE INDEPENDENT ORDER OF ODD FELLOWS 1864' in the lower field. |
