| 正面描述 | The field bears a detailed relief reproduction of Pedro Reinel's nautical chart of c. 1485, considered the oldest known Portuguese cartographic work, featuring a rhumb-line grid, compass roses, and stylized coastlines of Europe and Africa. A two-line verse from Camões's Os Lusíadas (Canto IV) is inscribed in the lower field, below the chart. At the bottom, three institutional emblems are displayed in relief: the Naval Military Club (left), the Army Sergeants' Club (center), and the Army Enlisted Men's Club (right), with the legend PEDRO REINEL - 1485 along the lower border. |
