Reverse description The reverse depicts the badge of the Légion d'honneur in high relief: a five-pointed star with double rays, its angles filled with alternating oak and laurel branches. At the center, a circular medallion bears a spread eagle with the legend HONNEUR ET PATRIE around it. A suspension ring is visible at the top. The engravers' names appear in the lower exergue. The surrounding legend reads AUSPICE NAPOLEONE GALLIA RENOVATA.
