Reverse description The reverse features a high-relief allegorical scene of three standing female figures and a nude child genius. The central helmeted figure of the French Republic raises a Phrygian cap over the head of the personification of Lombardy (Insubria), who is guided forward by the genius; Peace stands to the left holding an olive branch. A cornucopia overflowing with fruit lies in the lower right field. The engraver's initials I.S.F. appear above the exergue, which contains the date IX LUGLIO / MDCCLXXXXVII.
