表面の説明 The foreground depicts the Tsar Bell, cast between 1733 and 1735 by master craftsmen Ivan and Mikhail Motorin. It weighs approximately 200 tons, stands 6.14 meters high, and has a diameter of 6.6 meters. It was never used for its intended purpose due to a crack sustained in a fire in 1737. The background depicts the Ivan the Great Bell Tower, a remarkable architectural landmark of the Kremlin`s Cathedral Square, built between 1505 and 1509 according to the designs of architect Bon Fryazin. Three tiers of bell towers hold 22 bells, including the gigantic Assumption Bell (65.5 tons). The medal also contains inscriptions.
