Obverse description Conjoined busts left of Mohammad Reza Shah Pahlavi wearing imperial crown with aigrette and jewelled decoration, and Empress Farah wearing her coronation crown, both in elaborate ceremonial dress rendered in high relief against a dark matte field. Arabic script legends surround the effigies on both sides, with the date in Persian numerals (آبان ۱۳۴۷) at the bottom.
