Obverse description The obverse depicts a detailed relief view of the Mission San Buenaventura church facade, featuring its bell tower, arched entrance, cross-topped gable, and surrounding trees and foliage. The curved legend at the top reads MISSION SAN BUENAVENTURA, with FOUNDED 1782 along the lower border. A small engraver's signature appears in the lower field near the exergue.
