Obverse description The obverse displays the elaborate heraldic achievement of the Chigi family, featuring a quartered coat of arms surmounted by a princely crown and the crossed keys of the Holy See with a tasseled hat above. The shield is flanked by decorative mantling with tasseled cords and columns, all rendered in high relief. The engraver's signature P. PASINATI appears in the lower exergue.
