Above the band is a high-relief depiction of the Mariinsky Palace's ornate interior, featuring a central allegorical statue, balustrades, and arched doorways; below the band is an inverted relief of an elaborate decorative frieze with foliate scrollwork and a central roundel with figural motifs.
